The learner will differentiate the elements of music in sound. The learner will recognize different vocal ensembles. The learner will perform with expression, posture, intonation, and articulation. The learner will demonstrate his/her role, responsibilities, and musicianship while performing in a vocal ensemble. The learner will understand the important role music has in our society/culture. The learner will perform using the etiquette principles as applied to the concert situation.

Targets for the Year The learner will recognize relationships between written notation and sounds, both orally and visually. The learner will demonstrate listening skills. The learner will understand how the voice translates printed music to the listening audience. The learner will understand the individual's contribution to the ensemble.
