Welcome!
Welcome to Technology Education

Technology is using knowledge to develop products and systems that satisfy needs, solve problems and increase our capabilities.
January has flow by and students have been working hard building boats of all sizes and descriptions.  This is the main focus for our Water Transportation Unit as students continue to work on design and engineering skills.  Students have been given the task of building a boat capable of moving as fast as possible while powered by an electric motor.  Some of the targets for this unit include, understanding buoyant force and density as well as safely using the tools, machines and materials in the shop.  We will also spend some time learning about different types of ships used for moving cargo.  Stay tuned as we move into the trial, modification and final racing of the boats.
If parents want more information about what we've been doing in Tech. Ed., they can click on the link to the left titled "Class Handouts" and then download any handout that students have received in class.  This is a good resource for students as well should they miss anything.
I will continue to update this site as needed and invite anybody to contact me with questions or concerns.  My contact information is on the right of the home page.  Parents may also come in and visit me and have a look around the shop almost any time.  I am located in room 107/108 which is down next to the Gym.
